Thankfulness & End of Year

There is much to be thankful for as we near the end of the year.  We have met new friends, had new experiences, grown from challenges, experienced great joys, and had fun.  I know that I do not always express enough appreciation for all the miracles of each day.  We have some incredibly talented musicians and singers at SPLHS.  I am not musically inclined so I think that makes me even more in awe of their talents.  I am thankful for students that can act, make me laugh, and give me joy through watching them on stage.  I am thankful for our athletes that keep my competitive spirit fueled.  I am thankful for my coworkers that really do make work fun, even when work is hard, sad, confusing, and tiring.  I am thankful for my family that supports and loves me.  I am thankful for the Class of 2024.  They have been fun, they have been successful, and I look forward to all the ways they will continue to grow and serve.  I hope they continue to see all the little miracles and share their joy and thankfulness with those around them.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. –1 Thessalonians 5:16 – 18

Seniors

If seniors have not already done so they should send Mrs. Marsh a list of all scholarships they have been awarded so that they can be acknowledged at the Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 16.

Seniors also need to make sure that they have completed all necessary paperwork for Mrs. Fiene.

  1. Final Transcript form – Every graduate will have their final transcript sent for free to the school they plan to attend, but the form must be completed so that Mrs. Fiene knows where to send the transcript.
  2. Yearbook Form – this tells Mrs. Fiene where to send your yearbook if it needs to be shipped when they arrive next fall.
  3. SEVIS Transfer Form – this form is for any international graduate that plans to attend school in the USA next year.
  4. Co-Validation Form- this form may be needed for some international students that need co-validation when they return home.

Returning Students

Please complete re-enrollment no later than July 1st.  If re-enrollment is not completed by July 1st, students may be removed from classes that are at capacity.  Completing re-enrollment assists Mrs. Fiene, the administration, and teachers so that appropriate plans can be made for the upcoming school year.  All returning students will have an opportunity to make a schedule for 2024-2025 prior to the end of school.  Mrs. Schmidt and Mrs. Marsh have already met with and scheduled current juniors and sophomores.  We will soon begin meeting with current freshmen.  New students will be able to call or email Mrs. Marsh and Mrs. Schmidt to make an appointment for class schedules over the summer.  Mrs. Marsh and Mrs. Schmidt will not be available May 29th – June 10th.  Thank you for your understanding.
