Vote for your candidate for Alumnus of the Year award

Alumni have the opportunity to select the recipient of the Alumnus of the Year award.  The award will be presented at the Friday evening banquet at the All-School reunion.

 

The three candidates are Theodore K. Bundenthal (SPCH ’47, SPC ’49), Robert Lange (SPCH ’49, SPC ’51), James Pragman, (SPCH ’56, SPC ’58).

 

Register your vote on the form on page 5 of the Spring 2008 alumni newsletter, and send it to the alumni office by June 1.


Theodore K. Bundenthal
SPCH ’47; SPC ’49;
M.A. Washington University, St. Louis, ’60;
PhD, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, ’70;
taught at Concordia Seminary, Springfield, Ill.; Concordia, River Forest; Concordia, Seward; Alabama Lutheran, Selma; pastorate in Brazil, Ind.; directed building of chapels and student centers
at East Lansing, Mich., and Michigan
State University; military chaplain;
retired USAF colonel with 32 years service;
Around the World. Investigative/research Tour, ’62; Fullbright Scholar in India, ’86; served as senior intelligence officer for U.S. Department Intelligence Agency; married with five children

Robert Lange
SPCH ’49; SPC ’51;
Taught English, German and speech at SPCH and SPC ’59-’61; parish pastor in Kirksville, Mo.; campus pastor for Northeast and Southeast Missouri State Universities, and Illinois State in Normal;
established mission congregations in Memphis and Milan, Mo.; counselor for Synod’s Campus Ministry; served in U.S. Army in Europe ’52-‘54; involved in building churches in Kirksville, Cape
Girardeau and Normal; serves as one of the founders of Saturday Outreach School in St. Louis; board member of the Saint Paul Alumni Association; married with four children.


James Pragman
SPCH ’56; SPC ’58;
Master of Sacred Theology degree ’71 and Doctor of Theology degree from St. Louis seminary;
pastorates in Kirkwood, Mo., Seward, Neb., and Mankato, Minn.;
professor of theology at Concordia, Seward ’70-’86, and acting president ’85-’86; executive assistant to the president of Minnesota South District; wrote and published articles and essays on Lutheran
doctrine of the holy ministry; served as a vice-president of the Nebraska and Minnesota South districts; currently a member of Board of Regents, Concordia Seminary, Fort Wayne; married with two daughters
